Position
Tosca Urbanus started her career as a criminal lawyer in 2015, at Jebbink Soeteman advocaten.
Career
Tosca Urbanus studied criminal law and international criminal law at the University of Amsterdam. From 2013 until 2015 she worked as a law clerk at the criminal court of the District Court of Amsterdam. During her studies she did an internship and worked at law firms and conducted research into the legal possibilities for reparations for war victims.
From 2019 to 2022 she was part of the board of the Netherlands Association of Young Criminal Lawyers (Nederlandse Vereniging van Jonge Strafrechtadvocaten, ‘NVJSA’). First as vice-chairman and in her last term as chairman. Since 2016 she has been secretary of the board of the Nuhanovic Foundation, a Dutch foundation that supports cases related to obtaining compensation/ reparations for war victims.
