Head of Biotech department

Manon Bonneton is Partner at ICOSA and Head of the Biotech Department and the Lyon branch office.

Manon has solid and recognized expertise in Biotech, particularly in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Microbiology, and Biochemistry. She joined ICOSA as a patent specialist in the Biotech-Biology team.

Manon Bonneton assists her clients in defining IP strategy and advises them on patentability and freedom-to-operate aspects. She has gained expertise in drafting patent applications and in the patent examination procedures up to their issuance. She has also developed strong skills in patent search tools (including GenomeQuest).

A graduate of the Centre for International IP Studies (CEIPI), Manon is qualified as a European Patent Attorney and French Patent Attorney.

With a PhD in Life Sciences from the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, Manon defended her thesis on the regulation of telomerase, an enzyme involved in cancer research, in a model microorganism.
