Head of Corporate and Tax

Dr. Taddese Lencho is a Partner at TBeSesT Law LLP and the head of the Corporate and Tax Practice.

Dr. Taddese graduated with great distinction from Addis Ababa University School of Law and was recipient of the Chancellor’s Medal upon graduation. Dr. Taddese received his LL.M from Michigan University Law School (Ann Arbor, USA) and PhD from University of Alabama, Department of Interdisciplinary Studies (Tuscaloosa), USA. He was the former dean of the Addis Ababa University Law School where he has taught for more than 15 years. He is a recognized authority on Ethiopian Tax and Bankruptcy Laws and has been published in Ethiopian as well as International law journals and reviews. Dr. Taddese Lencho headed the Corporate and Tax Practice at Mehrteab Leul & Associates Law Office for more than 9 years and advised prominent clients on corporate, commercial and tax matters. In addition to his teaching and advisory functions, Dr. Taddese currently leads a national task force for the implementation of the new Commercial Code of Ethiopia (2021).
