Before training as a patent attorney, Paul Schieler gained experience in various areas of engineering, in particular at the BMW Group, ZF Friedrichshafen AG, the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology, the Institute for Textile Technology Aachen and the Institute for Automotive Engineering Aachen.

He completed his training as a patent attorney and the first six years of professional experience in the field of patents with his trainer and co-founder of SKM-IP Nils T. F. Schmid at Boehmert & Boehmert.

His advice focuses on textile technology, process technology, vehicle technology and employee invention law.

Paul Schieler is one of the five founding partners of SKM-IP.

Paul Schieler studied mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen University and National Taiwan University.
