Background
Mercy is a graduate with a Bachelor of Laws (L.L.B.) degree from Ahmadu Bello University, 2021. Subsequently, she pursued her legal studies at the Nigerian Law School, where she earned her Barrister at Law (B.L.) 2022. Mercy’s journey with SimmonsCooper Partners commenced in January 2023.

Some of Mercy’s key projects and contributions include:
• Legal Due Diligence and Legal Advisory to a credit guarantee Company in relation to a proposed guarantee of an infrastructure debt issuance of up to 1.35 billion Naira.
• Monitorship engagement for a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Company in line with the Consent Order issued by FCCPC.
• Successful representation of a specialized Energy Private Equity Investment Company in a dispute with an International Gas Equipment OEM
• Representing a minority shareholder in a tortious suit of negligence and unlawful means conspiracy against a court appointed provisional liquidator in its unlawful conspiracy with the directors of the company in selling off the entire assets of the company in breach of the company’s constitutive documents.
