Combining twelve years of experience from his tenure at the Turkish Competiton Authority and his private sector practice, Safa brings extensive expertise in competition law, covering a wide array of matters across diverse industries.

Safa has played a key role in high-rofile competition investigations and has handled numerous multi-jurisdictional merger filings throughout his career. He served as a case handler and competition expert at the Turkish Competition Authority from 2013 to 2021 and as antitrust counsel in private practice from 2021 to present.

Safa’s expertise extends to competition law compliance, where he provides strategic guidance on managing competition law risks and implementing comprehensive compliance programmes and trainings for businesses and firms. Additionally, Safa is a seasoned litigator with extensive experience representing clients in administrative court proceedings in matters relating to competition law.

Safa earned his undergraduate degree from Ankara University and completed his master’s at Queen Mary University of London. He is a member of Istanbul Bar.
