Career
Chris accepts instructions across all of Chambers’ practice areas. He read Law at the University of Cambridge and obtained an 'Outstanding' on the Bar Course from the University of Law. Chris has particular experience in advocacy and drafting work arising from defended Consumer Credit claims, with a specialism in unsecured retail lending and motor finance. Recent successes in this field have included submissions on the application of the 'worthwhile claim' test, on which Chris has previously written articles. He has experience in proceedings at the Court of Appeal, High Court, County Court and Employment Tribunal, having represented thousands of clients in civil litigation across the jurisdiction.
For several years, Chris has been delivering client training seminars, covering practice areas including Consumer Credit, Real Property and Personal Injury. He also publishes online updates for legal professionals and practitioners.
Throughout his career, Chris has been committed to talent development - he is a Pupil Supervisor, sits on Chambers' Pupillage Committee, and spearheaded the creation of Chambers' mini-pupillage programme. He regularly volunteers at careers events for aspiring Barristers. Chris has previous experience as part of the Senior Management Team at a leading advocacy service law firm, during which time he managed hundreds of advocates, maintaining consistently high standards nationwide and liaising regularly with professional clients. He was the firm's Conflict Officer, ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations.
Chris is appointed to The Football Association's National Serious Case Panel.
