Career

Anna Roffey’s practice encompasses all of Chambers’ Practice Areas and she is regularly instructed on matters in the High Courts and County Courts throughout England and Wales, by some of the largest Law Firms and financial institutions.

Anna was called to the Bar in July 2014, having studied Law and for the Bar whilst working full time. Since being called to the Bar, Anna has represented both Claimants and Defendants within the County Courts.

Prior to her career at the Bar, Anna enjoyed a flying career for over 20 years, and for 12 of those, was the chair/convenor of a large branch of trade union members. She has extensive industrial relations and negotiation experience and with an obvious interest and operational experience in aviation, Anna obtained further qualification in international air law/aviation regulation. She is also an independent external expert to European aviation regulator, EASA, across multiple disciplines including legal.

Anna is currently instructed on the high profile ‘Aerotoxicity’ (cabin air quality) litigation as covered by national news (The Guardian https://www.theguardian.com/science/2017/aug/19/sick-crew-toxic-air-planes-frequent-flyers-ill).

Anna is an accredited civil, commercial and workplace mediator, and since 2016, a mediation trainer and assessor. Given her experience, she specialises in workplace mediation and training.

Anna also specialises in representing banks and creditors defended claims of mis-sold PPI, both at Dispute Resolution Hearings and Final Trial Stage.
