Career

Waj Hussain has specialised in complex and disputed debt recovery, small claims matters, and enforcement previously as a solicitor and then as a Solicitor-Advocate for LPC Law/ 25CSC where he gained experience across all of Chambers' core areas such as contractual disputes, landlord and tenant, financial services, consumer credit, debt recovery, insolvency and injunctions and is regularly instructed on matters by some of the largest law firms and financial institutions.

Before embarking on a legal career, Waj worked as an IT specialist for 10 years in the NHS and before that in local government. After working for a number of years as a solicitor where he worked for various national debt recovery companies as well as established firms of solicitors, Waj qualified in 2020 as a Solicitor-Advocate and has appeared in over 1,000 court hearings as an advocate.

Due to his extensive experience, Waj gained a rare full exemption from the Bar Standards Board on all aspects of his transfer (academic, vocational, pupillage) and was Called to the Bar in 2024.

His practice also encompasses defended PPI Claims, housing, RTA related personal injury, credit hire claims, and civil interim remedy hearings.
