Position

César is Partner of the Tax and Tax Litigation practice areas.

Career

César has extensive experience in administrative law, tax litigation issues and transfer pricing and has interacted extensively with local and national tax and customs authorities. He heads the tax, customs and foreign exchange regulation dispute resolution area.

He worked at two renowned audit and financial consulting firms in the world (Big Four) as Litigation Manager and Senior Manager in the Tax Policy and Dispute Division and was an advisor to the Ten-Year Tax Justice Plan published by the Ministry of Justice. For five years, he headed the tax and customs litigation area in a Spanish firm in Colombia.

Currently, he is a faculty director of the Tax master and especialización program at Universidad de los Andes and teaches several graduate courses at some renowned universities in the country. He has also co-authored several books and articles on tax and customs procedures and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Instituto Colombiano de Derecho Tributario (Colombian Institute of Tax Law), where he was also the chair of its Academic Tax Commission.
