Fazil Ciftci is a highly-experienced and widely-known banking and finance, bankruptcy and litigation lawyer with 30 years of experience. He has significant expertise working with Turkish regulatory authorities and official financial institutions, including the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) and the Saving Deposit Insurance Fund (SDIF). He also has expertise in litigation, commercial, business and banking law area with a concentration on execution and bankruptcy law.

Following his graduation from Istanbul University, he trained as a judge and gained experience in international business. He worked for various Turkish banks, such as Bank Ekspres, EGS Bank and Demirbank as an in-house lawyer for almost ten years before joining the Istanbul office of a London-based international law firm, Denton Wilde Sapte (now known as Dentons).  He led Dentons’ banking and litigation team for a number of years.  Thereafter, Fazil managed his boutique law firm for almost two decades and joined AECO as the head of litigation.

Fazil has extensive experience advising leading banks, financial institutions, leasing and asset management companies. In addition to Turkish, he is fluent in English.
