Career

Christine Plews was a Partner at Blake Morgan LLP for 25 years and was Operations Director of Private Client and Head of the Family Practice Group at that time, managing the London, Southampton and Oxford Teams. The reported case of DB v DLJ [2016] EWHC 324(Fam) was handled by her. She has predominantly practiced in the Thames Valley where she has always been active in Resolution, Collaborative Law and Mediation. In 2012 she qualified as a Resolution trained Mediator and in 2016 became Accredited. She has since trained as a Child Inclusive Mediator.

In July 2024, Christine left The Mediation Space to concentrate on developing a practice that needed her skills but not necessarily all the model offered by The Mediation Space. This has involved a hiatus of 6 months, but she has continued to receive referrals from Burgess Mee, Freeths, Charles Russell Speechleys,APF Bloom, Russell-Cooke and Seddons throughout the year and hopes to develop this work and contacts throughout 2025. Child Inclusive Mediation remains a strength and children have successfully been seen with significant neurodiverse characteristics. She is a member of the EDI committee of the FMC and undertook a TQUK level 2 qualification in EDI in 2024.
