As the lead litigator for many multinational corporations and Fortune 500 companies, Ms. Liu specializes in complex commercial litigation and arbitration, especially in technology-related litigation and cross-border disputes such as trade secrets, patents, standard-essential patent rate determination and related antitrust and product liability, including dispute resolution strategies and solutions, litigation and arbitration proceedings, settlement negotiations, and related public relations crisis management. In addition, Ms. Liu is active in the areas of compliance, anti-bribery/FCPA and related litigation and government investigations, antitrust government investigations and litigation, shareholder dispute litigation and arbitration.

Ms. Liu specializes in identifying and prioritizing the core interests of clients in complex, high-impact cases or emergencies involving multiple proceedings and jurisdictions at the same time, gaining insight into the unity, differences and synergies among cases, and determining the legal course of action accordingly. With her excellent logic, imagination, and learning ability, Ms. Liu is able to quickly enter into any cutting-edge technology field involved in a case, and through a full understanding of the technology medium, she can strategize in the legal thinking, strategies and solutions to fully realize the coherent integration of technology and law.

In particular, Ms. Liu is adept at identifying any possible clues and quickly tracing them to the core facts and fixing the evidence in the absence of a well-developed fact discovery system in China. She was also one of the first lawyers in mainland China to start using the expert witness system. Her classic jurisprudence and experience in representing many complex and cutting-edge cases have served as guiding cases for the Chinese courts in handling disputes of this type in the future.

Ms. Liu is also an arbitrator of the China International Trade Arbitration Commission, an arbitrator of the Beijing Arbitration Commission, and an arbitrator of the Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (Shanghai International Arbitration Center).
