Career
Katie is a solicitor in our probate litigation department and acts on a wide range of matters including wills and probate disputes, claims pursuant to the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependents) Act 21975, trust and estoppel disputes and claims under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996.
Katie has a particular interest in the niche area of contentious probate dealing with Will disputes, inheritance and estate claims nationwide. She also has a keen interest in the agricultural sector, including proprietary estoppel claims and constructive trust disputes.
Katie is also experienced in contract disputes, property litigation and disputes between shareholders and directors.
In 2021, Katie will begin working towards becoming an associate member of ACTAPS (Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialists).
Education
Katie completed her law degree at the University of Leeds, gaining a 2.1 BA (Hons). Following this, she studied the LPC at the University of Law in Manchester, gaining a distinction.
After completing her Legal Practice Course, Katie trained at regional firm Savas and Savage Solicitors before joining East-Anglian firm Tees Law upon qualification. At Tees Law, Katie gained a wide range of experie
