Career
am a partner in the family team with over 25 years experience as a specialist family lawyer, dealing mainly with:
divorce and separation; financial settlements following relationship breakdown; pre nuptial agreements; disputes about children; property disputes between non married partners; living together agreements for partners; mediation; and collaborative lawMy divorce and financial experience includes advising on high net worth financial cases, cases involving third parties such as relatives who have contributed financially, complex company and partnership structures, family and other trusts, and inheritances.
I advise people at the start of a relationship in relation to prenuptial agreements and living together agreements, both of which have become more important with the rise of second and blended families. I also advise on disputes between unmarried partners and in relation to financial provision for children.
I am very experienced in dealing with disputes relating to children and bring a practical and sympathetic approach with clear goals and advice. My experience includes dealing with cases involving relocation of children within the UK and abroad, disputes regarding the religion of a child, choice of school, parental responsibility, serious mental health issues of a parent, and parental alienation.
I am a qualified collaborative lawyer and mediator, and member of the Resolution Pod and these skills enhance the service I give to clients across all areas of my practice.
I provide my clients with practical advice on their unique situation, which listens to their concerns and priorities and gives them a clear way forward.
Clients comment that they really feel that I have their best interests at heart and that they value the real life, practical approach that I bring to dealing with their problems at a difficult time for them.
