Caroline advises on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment issues, providing legal, practical and strategic support to both corporate and individual clients.

She has litigated numerous cases in the Employment Tribunal and the Employment Appeal Tribunal and has particular experience in discrimination and whistleblowing claims for both claimants and respondents.

Caroline advises individual clients on all their employment needs, both in relation to their own staff and their personal employment situation and regularly advises on high value settlement negotiations, team moves and restrictive covenant issues.

Caroline’s non-contentious experience includes advising on contracts of employment, consultancy arrangements and employment policies and procedures. She has also advised extensively on the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations (TUPE)  and the Cabinet Office Statement of Practice on Staff Transfers in the public sector and has worked with various clients on a number of outsourced central Government contracts, particularly in the field of employment related services.

Caroline also lectures regularly on employment law both internally and externally; including speaking at the Charity Law Association AGM about Volunteers, on HR issues at events run by the Independent Schools Bursars Association and on various topics at HR Forums run by the Association of Employment and Learning Providers and the Employment Related Services Association. She has also been a regular guest speaker at annual in-house lawyers’ conferences run by the training organisation, CLT.
