Career
John is managing partner of Broadfield UK (formerly BDB Pitmans). Taking up this role in December 2023, John has been a partner at the firm since 1994 and previously held the role of managing partner at legacy firm, Pitmans, at the time of the merger with Bircham Dyson Bell in 2018.
A corporate lawyer by background, John’s work with clients spans M&A transactions and private equity investments. In 2007, while remaining a partner, he set up a private equity fund with clients of the firm, investing in oil and gas technology companies. In 2011 he became managing partner of the fund.
John is a non-executive chairman, director and investor in several technology companies as his commitment and enthusiasm for advising growth companies as well as established businesses continues.
