Julian has specialised in family law for nearly two decades, during which time he has been instrumental in expanding the Stowe Family Law from a single office in Harrogate to a national firm. He has extensive experience advising and representing clients through various family law matters, including divorce, civil partnerships, and disputes involving unmarried couples.

Julian is particularly skilled in handling cases with substantial income and capital, both domestically and internationally. He is well-versed in managing complex financial, business, and trust structures and frequently drafts prenuptial, postnuptial, and cohabitation agreements for high-net-worth individuals. His expertise in family law extends to advanced financial provisions and international family law issues.

Julian was educated at Leeds Grammar School before studying Law at Leicester University. Throughout his career, he has specialised exclusively in family law.

Outside of his professional life, Julian is a keen musician, playing the violin and a variety of other instruments. Married with two teenage children, he enjoys cycling and playing or watching tennis during his spare time.
