Nicky has a wealth of experience in family law, focusing on resolving financial and living arrangements issues arising from separation and divorce for both married and unmarried clients. Her expertise extends to handling complex financial cases involving high asset values, business interests, trust interests, and pension sharing. She is also adept at advising clients on pre-marital and cohabitation agreements. In addition, Nicky has substantial experience dealing with cases involving local authority children services and Cafcass Children guardians. She is known for her ability to provide clear, constructive, and pragmatic advice, seeking creative solutions to achieve cost-effective outcomes.

Nicky is a member of Resolution and is qualified as a Collaborative lawyer. Her affiliation with Resolution reflects her commitment to resolving family disputes in a constructive and non-confrontational manner.

Nicky studied Modern History at University College, Oxford, before completing her legal education with a post-graduate CPE law conversion course and LPC at Northumbria University. She began her career as a family law paralegal in 1998 and qualified as a solicitor in June 2001. She has specialised in family law throughout her 20 years of practice in the North East of England.

Outside of work, Nicky enjoys spending time with her teenage children and is actively involved in grassroots youth football as a parent and local club welfare officer. She also likes walking in her native Northumberland, singing in a choir, and gardening.
