Position
Rathi is a Partner and Solicitor Advocate in the IP and Tech Litigation practice in RPC’s London office.
Rathi is a highly experienced general commercial litigator who has acted on a broad variety of high-value, multifaceted, cross-border litigation matters for national and international clients.
Rathi specialises in competition litigation and has extensive experience of assisting clients in all areas of UK and EU competition law, including collective claims or class actions before the Competition Appeal Tribunal (acting for parties bringing and defending competition law claims), merger clearances, distribution and supply chain issues, dawn raids, leniency applications, dominance issues and cartel investigations.
Rathi also has an interest involving technology more widely and has acted extensively in litigation involving cyber attacks and supplier issues, many of which have involved coordinating action across multiple jurisdictions.

Acting for Google defending collective action competition proceedings in the Competition Appeal Tribunal.
Acting for a consortium of retailers in relation to a breach of competition law claim in respect of multilateral interchange fees.
Acting for a large corporation in respect of its claim for leniency regarding its involvement in a cartel relating to electrical goods.
Acting for BPI in its application for leniency in respect of its involvement in the plastic industrial bags cartel (16 firms were fined EURO 290.71million by the European Commission but BPI’s fine was reduced to zero).
Acting for Skyscanner in its successful appeal against the Office of Fair Trading’s decision to accept commitments from various booking companies.
Representing a large cryptocurrency exchange defending numerous claims as a result of a cyber attack, which caused loss to customers.
Acting for an oil and gas client in a dispute relating to the decommissioning of an oil and gas platform in the North Sea.
Acting for a large national retailer in its claim against a supplier of faulty goods which resulted in a nationwide product recall.
Acting for a large international retailer defending a damages inquiry following a trademark infringement.
