With a wealth of experience gained over more than 20 years, Matthew Griffith is a corporate, commercial and regulatory Partner who focuses on the insurance and financial services sectors.
Matthew supports clients on a broad range of transactional, commercial and regulatory matters. He is an independently recognised leader in the insurance market and advises clients on acquisitions, disposals, business transfers (including Part VII transfers), reinsurance transactions, product distribution arrangements, commercial contracts, restructuring projects, corporate governance and regulatory matters.
Matthew’s work highlights include:
- Advising a global broking group on the transfer of a substantial book of business to a major UK headquartered insurer.
- Acting for a international insurance group on a high profile Part VII insurance business transfer scheme in the London Market.
- Reviewing the governance framework for a major division of a European headquartered global reinsurance group on corporate governance and advising in relation to the governance structure of Lloyd’s of London managing agency.
Career
Before joining RPC, Matthew gained substantial in-house legal and commercial experience as Corporate General Counsel and a member of the Senior Leadership Team at Worldpay.
