Position

Fiona handles a broad range of complex, catastrophic injury and fatal accident claims, coverage, and health and safety investigations and prosecutions. She acts for both insurers and insureds – often corporate entities, but sometimes individuals too. Fiona’s clients’ interests are wide ranging, and include constructions, sports, leisure, travel & tourism, retail, waste & recycling, equine and many others.

Recent work highlights

Claim with four defendants and a paralysed Claimant. I drove this to an early settlement of liability, which in turn led to me acting for all four defendants and their insurer clients to settlement of the claim.

Acted for a structural engineer prosecuted for health and safety offences following a fatality on a construction site. Client initially under suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter. Subsequently charged with lesser H&S offences.

Acting for insurers in respect of multi-million-pound child brain injury case.
