Ivan is a disputes resolution lawyer who specialises in commercial litigation, arbitration, regulatory investigation and data privacy. He acts for multinational corporations, local, international and Chinese banks and investment banks, Big Four accountants and other financial institutions in respect of their litigious and contentious regulatory issues. He also advises clients in respect of issues relating to competition, data privacy and cross-border data protection, transfers and restrictions. In respect of regulatory investigations, Ivan helps clients resolve inquiries, investigations and disciplinary proceedings instituted by the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) and other Hong Kong and overseas regulatory bodies such as the Hong Kong Data Privacy Commissioner and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has also advised regulators, and stock and digital asset exchanges.
