Position

Rebecca is a Partner in the Commercial Litigation team, and Head of Risk and Compliance. She advises both individuals and corporate clients. Rebecca’s areas of expertise are bringing and defending claims against financial institutions, and acting for claimants in professional negligence actions. She also has experience of advising companies, partnerships and shareholders on civil recovery following financial misconduct or fraud perpetrated by an employee or director. Recent experience: Acting in a high court claim for damages arising out of the mis-selling of interest rate swaps where the claimant company fell outside the scope of the FSA consumer protection provisions; successfully mediating a fraud claim against the former director of a client, who was claiming unfair dismissal in the employment tribunal; representing the successful appellants to the Privy Council in a Bahamian contentious probate claim.

Rebecca is also the firm’s Compliance Officer Legal Practice.
