Ajesh Kumar Shankar is the founder  of AKS Law Associates, a distinguished law firm established in 1999.

With a legal career spanning over two decades, Ajesh has a consistent approach to matters characterised by thorough research, meticulous preparation and by dedicating ample time to study the intricate details of a case, analysing the applicable laws and examining the precedents that may apply. Commitment to Public Service:

Beyond his professional work, Ajesh is deeply committed to pro bono cases and public interest litigation (PIL) aimed at social justice. Being sensitive to the wider interests of society and various problems faced, he has taken up matters of social impact by representing members of society in PILs. He has been the Lead Counsel before the High Court of Karnataka for enforcement of the solid waste management rules under the Environment Act. He has also represented on matters pertaining to pedestrian safety in the city of Bangalore by the local authorities, and on better facilities for undertrials in the State of Karnataka.

Serving local communities in collaboration with local authorities on matters pertaining to legal rights and laws, is an area which Ajesh is passionate about and, through a legal outreach initiative, aims to create and provide such legal awareness and education.

Ajesh actively mentors younger lawyers to help expand access to legal services. He has a multifaceted personality with diverse interests, including equestrian sports, chess, running, yoga, and continuing education.
