Namrta’s expertise lies in diverse areas of corporate and commercial laws including foreign investments, joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions and private equity transactions. She has assisted clients on all aspects of a transaction including due diligence, negotiation, drafting definitive documents and assistance in completion of the transaction. Her expertise also encompasses technology, telecommunications, media, broadcasting, labour and employment, real estate, intellectual property rights, procurement by Ministry of Defence and other commercial laws.

She has extensive experience in advising, negotiating and concluding different forms of legal and business documents including investment and exit agreements, term sheets, MOUs, labour and employment agreements, real estate agreements as well as agreements and transactions relating to technology, media and telecommunication.

Namrta has handled various Indian and cross border transactions involving mergers, acquiring/transferring majority/minority stakes in Indian companies along with advising on risk liability, litigation, regulatory approvals/clearances (Government approvals), corporate restructuring etc.

She has advised clients in labour and employment related matters including central and local employment laws from the perspective of employee contracting, preparation of employment manuals/handbooks and various related policies, employee IP ownership and assignment, data protection, confidentiality agreements, compensation structuring and termination procedures with regard to reduction in workforce and employee exits.

Namrta has also advised and assisted clients on a wide gamut of IP laws including trademarks and copyrights, enforcement and protection of intellectual property, ownership and assignment of intellectual property as well as handled global trademark portfolios of various multinational clients.

Along with being proficient in understanding the commercial requirements of clients, Namrta has experience in formulating compliant and practical solutions for them.

She has been on the panel of various offline and online conferences as an expert and has contributed as a speaker /panelist. Namrta is also enrolled as a Solicitor with the Senior Court of England and Wales.
