His practice focuses on M&A and corporate transactions, including rehabilitation of financially troubled companies, investment by private equity funds, joint ventures and takeover defenses. He also advises on corporate governance matters.  He regularly represents domestic and foreign clients.

Admitted to the Japan bar (1993). Joined Nagashima & Ohno in 1993. Made a Partner of Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu in 2001. Trained at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton LLP, New York (1998-1999). Taught at the University of Tokyo Graduate Schools for Law and Politics as an Associate Professor (2004-2007).
