Career

Brian C. Oh is a senior foreign attorney at Kim & Chang. He practices primarily in the areas of international litigation & arbitration, antitrust & competition, and product liability & consumer law. He is also a member of the firm’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) Practice.

Mr. Oh has advised corporate clients in a broad range of litigation, arbitration, government investigation, and crisis management matters in Korea. He has extensive experience in defending and advising multinational companies on Korean civil and criminal proceedings, including mass tort collective lawsuits, appellate and administrative court proceedings, and criminal investigation defense. He has also advised multinational companies in defending investigations by the Korea Fair Trade Commission for collusive activities, abuse of dominance, and unfair trade practices. As a member of the firm’s TMT Practice, Mr. Oh counsels world’s leading technology companies for Korean regulatory compliance in the areas of fair trade, privacy, product safety, anticorruption, and customs regulation, and legislative advocacy.

Mr. Oh has extensive experience in all facets of complex business litigation in the US at both federal and state levels, having represented Fortune 500 corporations and high-profile individuals in numerous industries, including entertainment, automotive manufacturing, consumer banking and finance, real estate, and investment banking. He regularly advises Korean companies with multinational operations in US court proceedings.

Mr. Oh is also an active contributor to the Product Liability and International Committees of Defense Research Institute (DRI), a US-based organization of defense attorneys and in-house counsel, having presented on issues under the Korean product liability law and Korean dispute resolution procedures.
