Career

Ho Keun Ryu is an attorney in Kim & Chang’s Corporate Investigations & White Collar Defense Practice.

Before joining the firm in 2011, he served as a public prosecutor for 18 years. He acquired extensive experience with various types of criminal cases during his distinguished tenure at the Prosecutors’ Office and is familiar with criminal law issues related to labor-management disputes.

Some of his representative cases include responding to strikes in the Korea Railroad labor union case (2010) and the Kia Motors labor union case (1998).

During his term in the Ministry of Justice, he dealt with various kinds of international legal affairs including extradition, mutual assistance in criminal matters, transfer of sentenced persons, and Korea-Singapore and Korea-Japan FTA negotiations.
