Career

Wook Jun Kim is an attorney at Kim & Chang. He practices primarily in the areas of white collar criminal defense; anti-corruption and corporate compliance; corporate governance and shareholder disputes; intellectual property; trade secret and corporate information protection; and antitrust and competition. 

He is an expert defense counsel who advises and represents clients in various cases by employing his extensive experience in large-scale white collar crime cases. 

Prior to joining Kim & Chang, Mr. Kim served as a public prosecutor for about 20 years. In particular, he was the First and Fourth Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office, which supervises all prosecutors’ investigation and strategy related to private equity, corporate, trade secret, intellectual property and environment. 

He has co-authored “Practice of Investigating Intellectual Property Crimes” (Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office, 2020), and was invited to lecture on “Criminal Issues on Cryptocurrency and Blockchain” at ABF in Seoul 2018. 

Mr. Kim received his LL.B. in 1996 from Seoul University and LL.M. in 2009 from UC Berkeley. He graduated the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea in 1999. He is admitted to the Korean bar and New York bar.
