Career

Bongseog Kim is an attorney at Kim & Chang. His practice focuses on antitrust and competition, criminal defense matters including corporate investigation, anti-corruption and corporate compliance, and financial regulation and compliance cases. He also has extensive experience in the areas of white collar defense, privacy and data security, digital network infringement, and trade secret infringement.

Prior to joining Kim & Chang, Mr. Kim served as a non-standing commissioner for three years at the Korea Fair Trade Commission where he heard cases across all areas of antitrust and competition. Mr. Kim also served as a public prosecutor for 20 years at the Seoul Central, Busan, Suwon, and Ulsan District Prosecutors’ Offices. As a public prosecutor, he investigated various criminal cases and developed expertise primarily in white collar defense, corruption in public office, digital network infringement, and trade secret infringement. In addition, drawing from his many years of experience at the Ministry of Justice and the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office, he possesses deep undersatnding of data security and the development and operation of information systems.
