Jeonghoon Kwon is an attorney at Kim & Chang. His practice focuses on criminal defense matters including those involving white collar crimes, intellectual property rights, tax audits and disputes, and antitrust and competition. He also has extensive experience in international legal affairs, anti-corruption and corporate compliance issues.

Prior to joining Kim & Chang, Mr. Kwon served as a public prosecutor for 20 years at Seoul Central, Busan, Daejeon and Daegu District Prosecutors’ Offices. As a public prosecutor, he investigated various criminal cases, and built up experience in the Special Investigation Department. Having served in various positions in the Ministry of Justice, Mr. Kwon developed expertise in international criminal affairs, criminal cases, amnesty and human rights protection. He also worked at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), participated in a variety of international conferences as a government representative, and served as the Secretary to the President for Civil Affairs at Cheong Wa Dae (the “Blue House”).
