Career

Min Chul Park is an attorney at Kim & Chang’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications Practice.

Mr. Park counsels corporate clients on a wide range of competition law matters, with an emphasis on investigations of illegal practices in the media and telecommunication market.

Mr. Park worked at the Korea Communications Commission (KCC) for four years, and has experience with a variety of telecommunication regulatory matters, including mergers and acquisitions, license applications, regulatory compliance and regulatory examinations. Furthermore, he has often taken part in task forces for policy and institute decision-making of the KCC and the Ministry of Science and ICT as an advisory member.

Mr. Park has represented a cable TV in a dispute over a contract to supply home shopping channel programs and has handled a GR project concerning the deregulation of contents rating over OTT services. He has also advised on a content supply contract between a domestic production company, a broadcasting company and an OTT service provider.

Mr. Park has authored several special articles for a professional magazine and co-published books about regulatory issues in the media sector, including entertainment.

Mr. Park graduated from Seoul National University and attended the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea. He is admitted to the Korean bar.
