Career

Claire (Mi-Jin) Kim is a banking and finance lawyer at Kim & Chang. Ms. Kim has a wide range of experience in cross-border (syndicated) finance transactions, with a primary focus on project finance and asset finance.

In the area of project finance, Ms. Kim’s experience includes acting for both lenders and sponsors/project companies in various (renewable) energy, infrastructure and PPP projects. From November 2013 to April 2015, Ms. Kim was seconded to the legal office of The Export-Import Bank of Korea (K-Exim) where she has gained invaluable in-house experience. At K-Exim, she was involved in various international project and asset finance transactions.

In asset finance transactions, Ms. Kim has regularly worked on transactions involving export credit supported financing, commercial debt financing, tax leasing and refinancings.
