Career

Sungwook Kim is an attorney at Kim & Chang. He practices in a wide range of litigation areas but primarily focuses on privacy, product liability, corporate litigation (civil & criminal), injunctive relief and labor relations litigation.

Mr. Kim has extensive experience in dealing with various types of cases from his tenure as a judge for 15 years. He has experienced all the tasks of first trial, appellate trial and appeal by the Supreme Court of Korea. He also worked as a Senior Research Judge at the Supreme Court of Korea for two years (2012-2014) and is well informed of the procedures and know-how about dealing with cases at the Supreme Court level.

After joining Kim & Chang in 2014, Mr. Kim has brought about successful outcomes in various civil and criminal cases regarding privacy, and has dealt with a variety of legal disputes on behalf of corporations, such as corporate M&A related litigations, product liability litigations, labor issues and other administrative disputes. He has also been involved in various appeal cases in the Supreme Court and provided related counsel.

Since 2001, he has also been a member of the Korea Academy of Private Case Law Studies, which is one of the most eminent law societies of Korea.
