Position

Stephen is senior partner of the firm’s London office and an expert in commercial real estate. A large part of his work is focused on renewable energy projects. He has played a major part in deals involving Scottish Power Renewables, DONG Energy, Mainstream Renewable Power, SMart Wind Limited, and Navitus Bay Development Limited in respect of onshore and offshore projects. Stephen has been recognised as a leading practitioner in commercial property matters, corporate taxation (with particular reference to offshore property investment structures), and PFI/PPP projects. He advises UK and international clients from both public and private sectors and provides strategic and corporate governance advice to those working with and for higher education institutions in developing international programmes in many countries.  Stephen has advised on development projects and innovative letting schemes both in the UK and overseas, including Australia, France, India, Italy, Malaysia, New Zealand, Switzerland, and the USA. In Chambers and Partners 2015 clients say: ‘He is able to drive our project forward in a very subtle manner, which helps us. He’s very approachable as well and always focused on trying to make things better for us.’
