Mark primarily advises financial institutions, funds and corporates on public and private mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings and related work. He has a particular expertise in shareholder activism and has advised on a number of high profile public campaigns.

Mark was seconded for two years as secretary to the UK Panel on Takeovers and mergers and has subsequently acted as secretary to the Hearings Committee of the Panel and the Takeover Appeal Board. 

Trained Simmons & Simmons; qualified 1990; partner 1998; seconded as secretary to the takeover panel 1998-2000 (has acted as secretary to hearings of the Hearing Committee of the Takeover Panel and the Takeover Appeal Board on a number of occasions since his secondment); head of London corporate and commercial practice 2006; international head of corporate 2008.
