Career

Mr. Cheng graduated from Peking University and received two bachelor degrees, respectively, in law and economics. Subsequently, he also received LLMs from Columbia University Law School and MA from the University of South Florida. He has been an adjunct professor at Peking University Law School since September 2011.

Mr. Cheng is specializes on foreign direct investments, and corporate M&A. He has worked for over 10 years with top US and UK –based international law firms and has handled large-scale matters in the consume products, medical and hospital, finance, rail, oil, power, new energy, mining and manufacturing sectors, among others. Mr. Cheng has extensive experience in domestic and offshore corporate matters, acquisitions and restructurings, offshore listings for Chinese companies, PE fund investments, antitrust reviews, foreign direct investments and financial derivative products.

Mr. Cheng was licensed to practice as a PRC lawyer in 2000 and as a New York State attorney in 2004.
