Career

Mark graduated from the University of Melbourne, Australia, with the degree of Bachelor of Commerce in 1996 and the degree of Bachelor of Laws in 1997.  He was called to the Malaysian Bar in 1999 and became a partner of the firm in 2005.

Insolvency litigation being his principal practice area, Mark advises and appears in Court for creditors, stakeholders of distressed companies and insolvency specialists on issues concerning corporate rescue, schemes of arrangement, judicial management, informal debt restructuring and liquidation.

Recent highlights include his representation of creditor clients in the scheme of arrangement in respect of AirAsia X pursuant to the Companies Act 2016, as well as the debt restructuring arrangement of Malaysia Airlines and its related companies.

Mark is also experienced in the area of Competition law, having represented clients in proceedings before the Competition Commission of Malaysia and the Competition Appeals Tribunal.
