Work Highlights

Significant transactions that Alvin has been involved in include advising / acting for the following:

  • A syndicate of lenders in the refinancing of the S$2.1 billion facilities granted to Senoko Energy Pte. Ltd., a power generation company owned by a consortium comprising Marubeni Corporation, ENGIE, The Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc., Kyushu Electric Power Co., Inc. and Japan Bank for International Cooperation.
  • The borrowers in a S$1.8 billion refinancing granted to Milano Central Pte. Ltd. and Roma Central Pte. Ltd. which are special purpose vehicles owned by a joint venture between Lendlease and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, for the development of Paya Lebar Quarter, a mixed-use development located at Paya Lebar.
  • The lender in the grant of facilities of S$1.26 billion to CITIC Environment (International) Company Limited (being a consortium formed between CITIC Limited and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P.) to finance, inter alia, the general offer for the acquisition of all the shares in United Envirotech Limited (a Singapore-listed water solutions provider).
  • The (a) lender, DBS Bank Ltd, in a S$400 million committed loan facility which includes a sustainability-linked conversion option aligned to sustainability-linked loan principles, as well as (separately), (b) arrangers in a S$500 million committed revolving credit loan facility arranged by DBS Bank Ltd, The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited and Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited, both granted Seatrium Financial Services Pte. Ltd. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Seatrium Limited).
  • The arrangers in a S$1.08 billion five-year green term loan club facility granted to the owner of Frasers Tower, a joint venture entity of Frasers Property Limited.
  • Apricus Global Pte. Ltd, an investment vehicle owned by 65 Equity Partners and Tower Capital Asia, in a S$102,500,000 loan arranged by United Overseas Bank to finance the acquisition of Boardroom Limited.
