Jill Ann Koh is a Partner in the Commercial & Corporate Disputes Practice.

Career

She has an active court and international arbitration practice in a wide range of complex, high-value and multi-jurisdictional disputes, including in the areas of corporate and commercial, shareholder, investment and contractual disputes. She also regularly advises on a broad range of legal issues including matters relating to corporate governance and compliance, tenancy and employment.

Work Highlights

Matters of significance in which Jill has been involved in include the following:

Acting for a family office and two individuals in complex High Court and Court of Appeal proceedings concerning investments in private equity funds and a hotel development valued at over US$127 million. Acting for the majority shareholder of a group of companies in the business of operating and franchising gourmet grocery stores and cafes internationally in SIAC arbitration proceedings involving claims totalling US$21 million against the minority shareholder, as well as in related High Court and Court of Appeal proceedings. Acting for two trust companies in an artworks dispute arising from the purchase of artworks valued at almost US$2 billion. Acting for a Korean state-owned entity in successfully resisting an application to set aside an ICC arbitral award arising out of a dispute over a 20-year grain procurement contract worth at least US$449 million. Acting for an SGX-listed company in High Court proceedings against former senior executives for breach of fiduciary duties and breach of restrictive covenants.
