Director

Li Zheng, Ph.D. is a director in the Intellectual Property Practice Group of Duane Morris & Selvam LLP. He practices in the area of intellectual property law focusing on all aspects of U.S. patent law.

Dr. Li holds a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and a Juris Doctor degree, both from the U.S. Before starting his legal career, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Carnegie Mellon University, where he was the first inventor of two U.S. patents relating to wireless communications.

Dr. Li is a USPTO registered Patent Attorney, and has been admitted to practice law in North Carolina. Dr. Li also held the legal practicing certificate in the PRC when he worked with a leading Chinese law firm.

Dr. Li provides patent-mining, patent preparation and prosecution, patent portfolio management and legal opinions to dozens of clients from multinational corporations to startup companies. He also represented Chinese companies in Federal District Court litigations and US ITC 337 investigations.

Dr. Li is specialized in handling IP disputes relating to Cross-border e-commerce as well. He successfully helped online sellers reinstate removed listings, deal with temporary restraining orders (TRO) and get attorney fees back.

He is a native speaker of Mandarin and speaks fluent English.
