Career
Eduardo Ramos-Gómez has practiced international and corporate law for more than 30 years, advising multinational and foreign companies in Asia, North America, Europe and Latin America on cross-border direct foreign investment, project development and project finance. His practice encompasses a broad range of international investments, mergers and acquisitions, securities, financing, joint ventures, licensing, venture capital formation and investments, privatization, infrastructure projects and other corporate transactions in the United States, Latin America and Asia. He is a member of the firm's Cuba Business Group.
Mr. Ramos-Gómez formerly served as Mexico's Ambassador to Singapore, Negara Brunei Darussalam and the Union of Myanmar. He is a board member of Arts House Limited, an expert panel member of the Singapore Management University Pro Bono Centre, a member of the Strategic Board of the Latin American Chamber of Commerce, president of the U.S. Mexico Chamber of Commerce, vice chair of the Mexican Law Committee in the Section of International Law and Practice for the American Bar Association and chapter chair of the International Division of International Law and Practice Section of the New York State Bar Association. He has chaired the Section's 2009 meeting held in Singapore and was chairman of the Section's 2013 meeting, held in Vietnam. In 2015, he was appointed honorary president of the Latin American Chamber of Commerce (LATCHAM). In 2014, he was the recipient of the Buen Vecino Award from the United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce. The annual Buen Vecino Awards honor public and private sector leaders for their vision and commitment to mutually beneficial relations between Mexico and the United States. Mr. Ramos-Gómez also heads the Duane Morris Mexican and Latin American desk.
Mr. Ramos-Gómez is a graduate of the Escuela Libre de Derecho in Mexico City and a graduate of the University of Virginia (LL.M.).
