Walanchathas has over 13 years of experience working in Thailand and the Lao PDR. She specializes in cross-border financing, mergers and acquisitions and commercial transactions, particularly in relation to structuring acquisition and finance deals and advising on negotiations. Walanchathas has advised on numerous development, financing, and mergers and acquisition projects as well as lenders, developers and contractors on energy and infrastructure projects, including related EPC contracts review and negotiation, in Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines and Myanmar, covering hydropower, solar, wind and gas projects.

She has been ranked as a ‘Rising Star’ by The Legal 500 under Banking & Finance.

She speaks Thai, English, and Lao.

Walanchathas has completed a Master of Laws (LL.M.) at Northwestern University, Chicago, and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok. She speaks Thai, English, and Lao.
