Ms. WU Dan is an associate specialized in data protection and regulatory compliance, with bar admissions in the P.R. China and the New York State of the U.S., and she was once a product manager in a legal-tech startup and an interdisciplinary research assistant of computational law in a prestigious law school.  Dan stands out among the associates by her diverse backgrounds and integrated skillsets/mindsets.

Dan has assisted clients in regulatory filings of varied kinds, such as the cybersecurity review for overseas listing, the security assessment for data export, the filing-for-record of personal information export, and the inquiry responses during financial license application.  She can well understand the clients’ business demands and the regulatory authorities’ concerns, on top of which, she prepares the clients to a compliance status and articulates the justifications to get though the regulatory filings.

Dan has assisted domestic clients to understand and comply with the rules in multiple jurisdictions during their overseas expansion, and structure a globally compatible system of compliance to control key risks.  She demonstrates good comprehension and fast-learning abilities for foreign legislations, and coordination and cooperation abilities when working smoothly with foreign law firms and the clients’ foreign teams.
