Economic Laws Practice (ELP) advised Anglo French Drugs & Industries Limited (AFDIL),  AFD Laboratories Private Limited and Mr. Abhay Kanoria (“Sellers”) on the sale of a portfolio of brands owned by them to Lupin Limited.

ELP advised 100Percent Nourishment Private Limited and, a startup that owns D2C brand WickedGüd, and its promoter-founder Bhuman Dani, in its capital raising of USD 1 Million from marquee investors including NB Ventures, Mumbai Angels Network, Dholakia Ventures, Jalaj Dani Family Office, Ashutosh Valani & Priyank Shah (Founders – Renee Cosmetics, ex-Beardo), Ravi Shroff (MD – Excel Industries Ltd), Ravi Nigam (ex-MD – Tasty Bite), Ashwini Deshpande (Co-founder – Elephant Design), Jorge Fernandez Vidal (Investment Director – Liechtenstein Group) and Akshay Gurnani (CEO – Schbang) and others.

Waterfield Technologies (a US headquartered entity), a contact center solutions firm,  recently acquired Speech-Soft Solutions LLC,  to further expand its global delivery capabilities. Economic Laws Practice (ELP) advised Waterfield Technologies on the India leg of the transaction, which comprised a sale of shares of the Indian subsidiary of Speech Soft Solutions LLC to WTI Innovation LLC.  ELP’s corporate team was led by Yashojit Mitra (Partner -Corporate Commercial) and Devyani Singh (Director -Corporate Commercial) and the tax team was led by Mitesh Jain (Partner -Direct Tax) and Vivek Baj (Partner - Indirect Tax).

“ELP advised Bharat Forge Limited  (BFL) on its acquisition of JS Auto Cast Foundry India Private Limited ("JS Auto"), a Coimbatore based casting and machining Company through its wholly-owned subsidiary - BF Industrial Solutions Limited ("BFISL") for an undisclosed amount. Closure of the deal is subject to completion of mutually agreed condition precedents as part of the transaction document.
