Jason is a Partner in the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution team, and is the head of our Sydney office.

He has over 20 years experience in commercial litigation and regulatory investigations and acts for some of Australia’s largest corporations and government entities operating across a broad range of industries, including the IT, telecommunications, property, resources, health, insolvency and financial services sectors. Jason’s clients include Commonwealth and NSW Government departments and agencies, publicly listed national and multi-national corporations and high net worth individuals.

Jason is valued by his clients for his management of large scale, “bet-the-farm” litigation and for his focus on quickly getting to the heart of the legal and commercial issues raised by such disputes. He is equally prized for his ability to efficiently deal with smaller disputes and effectively manage regulatory investigations and litigation, including corruption inquiries, Royal Commissions and investigations and proceedings brought by Australia’s key regulators. Recognising that risk is inherent in all disputes and investigations, Jason works closely with his clients to minimise exposure to those risks and deploy broader strategies aimed at resolving matters with expedition and efficiency.

Jason is an accredited mediator and a strong advocate for pursuing alternative forms of dispute resolution. In consultation with an esteemed former Judge, Jason has developed a highly flexible model for the resolution of disputes through the appointment of an independent legal expert. The model is a powerful tool in settlement discussions lends itself to a very quick, cost effective and principled way of resolving a wide variety of disputes.
