Norman Lucas is a commercial litigator with 24 years' experience. Before joining Maddocks, Norman was a partner at a major national law firm. He undertakes complex commercial litigation and dispute resolution with a particular emphasis on corporate, property, trade practices and contractual disputes. He has acted both for major corporate clients and government clients in such matters.

Norman has extensive experience in all aspects of dispute resolution including litigation, arbitration, expert determination and mediation.

Norman has also acted for clients in investigations and inquiries conducted by regulatory authorities such as ASIC, ICAC and the Australian Crime Commission. He currently acts for a client before the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.

Norman has also provided advice to clients on all aspects of reputation management. This includes advising and acting for clients in defamation matters concerning both traditional and social media. Norman has a particular interest in social media risk management. Norman is a co-author of Reputation Matters, a legal risk management guide for corporate communications.
