Duong Thi Mai Huong joined Frasers in 2020 and is an Of Counsel based in Frasers’ Ho Chi Minh City office. Huong practices in the area of corporate law, with experience in mergers and acquisitions, securities and capital markets, finance and banking, real estate and construction, and international trade law.

Career

Huong’s extensive legal expertise spans the areas of startup/venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, corporate investment and restructuring, real estate, and renewable energy. She has assisted clients in a diverse range of industry sectors and on a wide range of legal matters, from providing legal advice, legal analysis, and legal due diligence reviews, to foreseeing legal changes that affect a company’s structure and business, to reviewing contracts, agreements, and documentation. She has been involved in numerous merger and acquisition transactions and has undertaken multiple legal due diligence reviews, document preparation, and negotiations. Huong is recognised by IFLR1000 in its 2023 rankings as a Rising Star for M&A and by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific in its 2024 rankings as a Rising Star for Insurance.

Prior to joining Frasers, Huong worked at a leading international law firm in Ho Chi Minh City and was the Director of Legal at a major real estate development corporation in Vietnam.
