Charlotte Garnitsch is a partner in our IP team, with an impressive track record in both advising and litigation. With deep expertise across various areas of intellectual property, Charlotte first honed her skills in patent law, where she achieved remarkable results, before transitioning back to her roots in industrial design law — an area she originally began her career with and continues to find immensely rewarding.

In addition, Charlotte co-leads the team’s regulatory practice, providing strategic advice on a wide array of issues — from product labeling and marketing authorizations to navigating intricate regulatory landscapes. Charlotte excels in creating tailored legal strategies that help clients stay compliant and competitive.

She advises both national and international companies, with a focus on the sectors life sciences and retail. Her commitment to excellence and her enthusiasm for her work ensure that clients receive the highest level of service.

Charlotte, alongside Margot van Gerwen, represented Kwantum in the landmark ECJ case Kwantum/Vitra, a legal journey that spanned over a decade. This major case highlights Charlotte’s expertise in navigating complex and long-running IP disputes with finesse.

She is a co-author of the bookThe Enforcement Directive: Enforcement of IP Rights in the Netherlands, alongside Wim Maas and Carreen Shannon. This publication cements her standing as a thought leader in the field of IP law, sharing valuable insights on the enforcement of IP rights.
